Big Country Baptist Assembly
With over 120 consecutive annual Christian Youth Camps documented with newspaper clippings, photos, and even a Baptist seminary history text book, many believe that Big Country Baptist Assembly is the oldest continuing Christian Youth Camp in the world.
BCBA is a facility that exists for the purpose of providing a place where associations, churches, and other organizations can empower kingdom growth by doing evangelism and discipleship in the name of Jesus Christ.
BCBA seeks to provide an environment in its facilities and activities that encourages development in spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical areas in our camper’s lives. The camper’s connection with Jesus Christ is our #1 focus.
The BCBA strives to create an atmosphere that’s most conducive to the moving of the Holy Spirit.
Several updates have taken place for the camp this past year & they are still working; making changes as the funding comes in. The upgrades listed below have made some big strides in the beautification of Big Country Baptist Assembly. Keith & crew have: changed all the locks on the motel and the majority of the dorms, built 2 giant tic tac toe boards, and built lifeguard towers with shade and a shade area at the pool. New items purchased this year: a climbing Iceberg for the pond, along with C-containers; one for a shop and one for storage, 2 new fryers for the kitchen and some new sheets for the motel. They are also in the process of purchasing new pillows for the motel. This past year the camp was blessed by the donation of a lawnmower, a pressure washer and a weed eater for the camp.
